For one night only, Paper Lantern Distilling and Phil Nguyen (Irusu Lounge, Vietnam) came together to bring a taste of Vietnam through a menu that was exceptional in both flavour and execution.
Award-winning bartender Phil Nguyen of Irusu Lounge has cemented himself as One to Watch in the region. He brought with him an imaginative cocktail program in exploration of the tastes and flavours of Vietnam. Inspired by the iconic Vietnamese coffee, exceptional local produce and a dish reminiscent of family dinners, Phil’s cocktails tell stories of everyday life in Vietnam using ingredients indigenous to his homeland.
A modern gin inspired by the flavours of Southeast Asia, Paper Lantern Gin is distilled with a carefully curated selection of Asian botanicals and spices. The base spirit is made in-house from rice, offering a unique grain-to-glass experience – this is Gin Reimagined.
Alongside groovy beats by DJ ‘Da Funkie Junkie’ against the lush backdrop of The Warehouse Hotel’s lobby, it was truly an unforgettable evening.
